Tina, the Alamo Tour-Guide Says:

.
"This is one of my favorite parts of the tour.
Say hello to our residents, Pedro and his wife Inez."

" Pedro is working on an 'adobe.'
Can you say that with me? Ah-doh-bee."

"Inez is holding a clay pot, of which she seems to be very proud.
She has decorated it with lots of paint and glaze."

"Well buenos diaz!"

"Yes, there are thousands and thousands of uses for corn,
all of which I'm going to tell you about right now!"

Greatest cameo of all-time?
Probably.

It's up there.

I often find it useful, when someone says something incredibly stupid, to just look at them and say "There's no basement at the Alamo," and then start pointing and laughing.

I have a comparable use of "which she seems very proud of"...

Without exaggeration i can assure you that i have seen this scene more times than any other in the history of the cinema. My friends and I used to cue up the VCR to this very scene and watch it over and over and over again and laugh hysterically

One of my favorite scenes in the best movie ever!! The little touch I love is the kid who takes Pee-Wee's picture when everyone is laughing at him...the idea that someone would actually take the picture delights me to no end.

"Inez is holding a clay pot, of which she seems to be very proud."- AWESOME.

I tried to get a screen-cap of the kid taking a picture, Stacie, because I love that touch too, but the little bastard was too quick and oddly framed for me to really capture the moment in still. Alas.

My other favorite touch is the way her chewing gum falls halfway out of her mouth at the end of the tour since she's been chomping it the whole time, and she does this half-sideways glance that rocks my world every time. So perfect.

Rick and Ilsa will always have Paris but, holding all questions until the end of the tour, Pee-Wee and Jan will always have the Alamo. I know which couple I want to spend more time with.
