Finally I find a picture of my German plaything, Thomas Kretschmann, in Wanted, the Angie Jolie and Jim McAvoy movie (via this large gallery at DH):
Is that a gun? It's obscenely large. It's seems to be part of one of those telescopes I always wanted for Christmas as a kid, the ones which would let you spy on granules of sand on the moon. It wouldn't surprise me if the movie does have him shooting a gun attached to a scope that big so he can aim at people on the other side of the planet; that seems like it would fall into the sort of realism the movie is going for.
Speaking of, I caught the new trailer for Wanted over the weekend and I am just straight-up giddy with enthusiasm over this flick. This is the sort of thing I want from a Summer movie - unabashedly gleeful maximum retardation. Yay!
