--- Dolly Dearest - Joss Whedon's Dushku-led Triumphant Return To Television
Dollhouse has been
picked up at FOX for mid-season... what does "mid-season" mean in this rapidly restructuring television world? Is that still, like, January? Because my calendar is looking mighty empty without having started this countdown already...
--- Nailed Cursed -
Apparently production has been halted on Jake Gyllenhaal's flick
Nailed because of money troubles. Karma's a bitch, eh director David O. Russell? Whatever; he may be a prick but he makes great films, so I've got my fingers crossed that everything will be sorted out soon. The Jake factor trumps all other concerns, as usual.
--- Did you know that this past Friday was the 50th anniversary of the release of Hitchcock's
Vertigo? I like to claim myself to be some sort of Hitch expert and I did not. Anyway, in celebration there's
a really lovely piece on the film over at The New York Times.
--- Crimson & Clover - I watched some of the special features on the
Cloverfield DVD this weekend, but was too lazy to go rooting around for all the hidden Easter Eggs; why bother when they keep popping up online via somebody else's hard work, like
this series of videos at BD. I love it when my laziness is rewarded so.
--- Up To Snuff - Chuck Palahniuk's new book,
Snuff, comes out on May 20th, and
Gawker has a (semi-NSFW, I guess) trailer for the book. I previously mentioned the book
right here. It has gang bangs.
--- Speaking of Snuff Films, the first
Faces of Death film is
getting the deluxe DVD treatment...
