Anybody remember the flick called Trick 'r Treat? I blogged about it here and there over the past year or so; it's that semi-anthology horror flick written and directed by Michael Dougherty (writer of X2 and Superman Returns) set over one Halloween night in a small town that has among its cast Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, and Tahmoh "Helo from BSG" Penikett. Well, like so many films before it, it's fallen under the JA curse, fallen through the cracks, disappeared... BD has some word - of the bad sort - on it:

Well, like so many films before it, it's fallen under the JA curse, fallen through the cracks, disappeared... BD has some word - of the bad sort - on it:
"We discovered today that Legendary Pictures held a screening last night for their film Trick 'r Treat (review), which was directed by Michael Dougherty. Apparently Warner Bros. Pictures has decided NOT to release it and the horror film is now up for sale to whomever would be interested in distributing it. This does mean that there are no release plans for the film, so until we update you with a new distributor, don't hold your breath."
Gah. Will it never end? Between this movie and Greg McLean's Rogue and All The Boys Love Mandy Lane this has been a solid year of my high hopes being crapped on. It's hard out here for a pimp.
