Quote of the Day

I guess EW.com was talking to Guillermo Del Toro about Hellboy II: The Golden Army recently, but managed to wriggle a couple of tidbits on the status of The Hobbit and his involvement therewith. When asked if New Line's collapse had added significantly to any delays, Del Toro said:

"I think it played a role for a few days; being dramatic, I would say a couple of weeks. But the fact is [the movie is] a huge endeavor. It's about a half-a-decade of commitment. It's two movies back-to-back that are massive. So a lot has to be sorted out. All I can say is, creatively we are all in sync and eager to commit and move forward."

He also says he'll be working, script-wise, with Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, so that's good. All that's left is signing on the dotted lines, it seems. He hopes it'll be ready to go by Summer.
