A very happy 50th birthday to one of my very favorite actresses, Miranda Richardson, who never shows up quite enough for my liking. Like, where's Rita Skeeter disappeared to in the Harry Potter films? I know, he's got enough adversaries already to fill two hours of film... but she's golden. I caught a bit of Sleepy Hollow on television over the weekend - is this movie ever not on? - and was reminded how much I love her. It also reminded me I've got to go back and watch Cronenberg's film Spider, in which she gives one of my favorite performances of the '00's. Brilliant actress.
