Fray Enters The Buffy

.

Good geeky grief! Did somebody spike my morning cup of Ovaltine with hardcore hallucinogens? How else to explain all of this morning's news shooting glee-loaded lightning bolts down my trousers? Also via AICN comes news of an upcoming, Joss-penned arc for the comic-based Season Eight of Buffy the Vampire Slayer:

"Crossover! Learn Who Buffy Summers Battles In Issue 16 Of SEASON EIGHT!!

Melaka Fray, the future-slayer created by “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” mastermind Joss Whedon in the funnybooks just before Buffy ended her UPN run in 2003, will meet and maybe punch present-slayer Buffy Summers in an arc apparently written by Whedon for Buffy’s ongoing “Season Eight” Dark Horse comic-book series.

“Fray” artist Karl Moline will draw the storyline.

Read Comic Book Resources’ story on the matter here."

This is a good day to be a Whedon-geek, for sure.

I've been hoping for more Fray ever since I read the comics back when they came out; the story was woefully brief... thin, you might even say. But they were a blast all the same. Seeing Miss Summers and Miss Fray interact ought to be a... hoedown? Or is that a hootenanny? I can never keep those straight.

I'd say it's "chock full of hoot with just a liiittle bit o' nanny"! (yay, Oz.)
I've been meaning to comment and thank you for a great read -- not to mention all the eye candy. I'm not partial to horror but I definitely love your taste. Thanks!
