Holy Shit!

.
This is awesome, incredible, ass-kicking news! Via THR:

"Fincher to direct 'Black Hole'

David Fincher is attached to direct the horror romance "Black Hole" for Paramount/ MTV Films.

Plan B Entertainment and Kevin Messick are producing the film. Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman are adapting the screenplay.

Based on a graphic novel by Charlie Burns, the story revolves around a group of high school students whose lives are drastically altered when they come in contact with a sexually transmitted disease called the "teen plague" or "the bug."

Fincher ("Zodiac") just wrapped "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" for Paramount. He also has "Torso," "The Devil in the White City" and "The Killer" in development at the studio."

I need to thank my friend Sean for turning me on to Charles Burns' book; it's phenomonal, as in phenomonally batshit creepy insane trippy shit, and... the mind boggles at what David Fincher can bring to this particular table. Really, really, really cool. This is the sort of news a geek dreams of. Happy boy!
