Holy Shit, The 2nd

.

I'm apparently taking my cues today from Final Girl's announcement of a new blogathon for March 18th, fittingly titled The "HEY, INTERNET, STOP BEING SUCH CYNICAL EFFING DOUCHEBAGS BLOG-A-THON!" in which we're being encouraged to set aside the ritual bitchiness that often infects online conversation, let our hairs down, and get crazy on some shit that makes us happy. You can read up on that here.

But my point here is I'm finding myself super-enthusiastic about things today - first that news on David Fincher directing Black Hole reduced my vocabulary to crazed stutterings, and now a teaser trailer for the animated-by-Henry-Selick adaptation of Neil Gaiman's fantastically creepy children's book Coraline - already a classic as far as I'm concerned - has appeared! It's only, as of now, in a crappy YouTube version, but at least that allows me to plunk it down right here:

Coraline isn't out until February 6th of 2009. Sigh.
