The Greatest Movie...

... in which a woman achieves the perfect orgasm by sawing off her boyfriend's head in the middle of sex and tying a string around his erection in order to keep it hard while she, uh, finishes herself off?

I chose the above still because, as I said earlier, I'm a little bit on the sickly side today and frankly I couldn't stomach dealing with the more graphic images one could choose for this movie. If you wanna see the goods, however, click here. Sicko. The above still is from one of the most effective moments in the film, however - a group of women sitting around, eating pizza, and watching a real-life video of a seal being slaughtered... it hammers home the movie's point, anyway.

I was forced to watch Nekromantik 2 three times in college - I had a professor who showed the film in ever single class he taught, and since he was my favorite prof., I kept having to watch the film. I hadn't seen the film since then (almost 10 years ago! Christ!) until a few weeks ago when I discovered Netflix actually carries it, so I rented it and popped it in, and... well, back when I first watched the film it was the most disgusting thing I'd ever seen. I could barely watch the screen for long portions of time (that bathtub body-carving sequence that goes on for ages! Ugh!). But now... well, I'm all jaded and seen-it-all now, so it didn't effect me too harshly. In fact, what really bothered me now was how boring the entire thing is in between it's three or four explicit (and I mean explicit) scenes of violence. The gore itself, when it does appear, does hold up though - it's terrifically well-crafted for a film with such a limited budget.

You know, if you're into that sorta thing. Sicko.

Bonus fun: There is a wonderful scene of high comedy as the new boyfriend finds a surprise, once attached to the old boyfriend, now severed, under plastic wrap on a plate in her refrigerator.

That film is banned in Australia! I did a presentation for school on all the films that were banned here and when i read out the plot for this film, it got the biggest laugh...

Is there a Nekromantik 1 or this, like, Cremaster and all out of sequence?

There is indeed a Part 1, I just haven't even seen it. I think it's harder to come by than the second one. Part 2 begins with the final scene of Part 1 and... you'll know if you're gonna be able to make it through this entire movie if you can make it through that scene...
