Olafur Eliasson, a Danish artist, is going to build four massive waterfalls around NYC as an art installation that will up from July through October, including one cascading beneath the Brooklyn Bridge as seen in that rendering above.
Kick ass. So much cooler than a bunch of safety-orange terrycloth being hung in Central Park. Although now I've got TLC's song "Waterfalls" stuck in my head, and that'll probably be the case the entire time the things are up. Hmm.
