The Perfect Cobain

.

It wouldn't have occurred to me before, but anybody else think that James McAvoy is the perfect choice to play Kurt Cobain in the planned biopic? He's who VH1 Blog is saying is the "suspected front-runner" and only now, looking at pictures of the two of them beside each other does it hit me that damn, he could be a ringer once his hair's grown out and bleached and a natty cardigan's thrown on him. And McAvoy's a good enough actor to make me curious about the project (although I'm still waiting on my Jeff Buckley biopic, Hollywood!).

Anybody else think he's a fantastic choice?

I think McAvoy's a perfect choice for a whole lot of movies, this one included. Love, love, love him.

Oh my god, no. I can't deal with Ewan's American accent anymore. Among many other reasons.

Ewan around the time that Velvet Goldmine came out was mentioned a lot, since his character in that looked so much like Cobain, but I never really thought he was the best choice. And now he's too old.

YES! But who should play Courtney.....

MY vote: Mila Jovovich or Sarah Polley

Hmm. I dunno. Perhaps I'm just negative towards a biopic of one of the world's greatest ever musicians, but tend to think Last Days (Michael Pitt or not) was as close to one as I wanna get. I don't want Curbain's like truncated to this + this + courtney + this = death.

I guess if they're gonna do it though then McAvoy is as good a choice as any.

Oh, but what about Heath Ledger. That makes more sense to me than McAvoy.

I am with Glen about the need for another biopec... but if we are going to have one... McAvoy is my choice. He is a wonderful actor and is beyond dreamy.
