Last night's episode was a step in the right direction; there were things I actually enjoyed watching, that is, as opposed to being bored out of my mind like last week. Here's a trio of the good:
1) That toe-snipping was terrific, and gross, just like everything I've so enjoyed with regards to Claire so far. A classic Claire moment, only ruined by the lack a shot of Mr. Muggles playing with/gnawing on the severed toe. I so thought they were going to, and needed to, go there. That's comedy gold, people.2) Lots of (birth-defected) Milo Ventimiglia sweaty, shirtless, and tied up. I can get behind that.
3) Ahhhhh, I can breathe so well, with that refreshing lack of Ali Larter stinking-up-the-joint odor. Is anybody missing her story?
And a pair of the bad:
1) I really enjoy the creepy bitchiness that is Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), more than either of her sons to be honest, so fucking with her - and a very real threat that she's not gonna last the season - is irritating me. Just kill Mohinder already and reveal Angela knows her way around a stethoscope or something.
2) No Sylar yet, which is really clamping down on my developing Zachary Quinto crush, but most importantly, and most obviously coming from me, really to the point that I don't even need to say it, but I will, oh yes I will, can Kristen Bell just show up and kick all these assholes' asses already? I grow weary..

You're pretty clever so the entendre there I'm thinking was intentional. Agreed.
All I could think about when Claire's toe regrew was the scene in Species when Natasha cuts off her finger and it regenerates...it looked EXACTLY the same. Clearly the technology to make an appendage regrow hasn't progressed since 1995.
Bring on Quinto and Bell already! If (when) those two team up I am going to need a change of pants.
