"For me it's always Strangers on a Train that I thought of when I saw her. She's charming in Stage Fright but Strangers was the best role she had... It is too bad she didn't act more since she had a sure comic touch. But she can't be faulted for choosing to concentrate on raising her family, especially since she was always so willing to share her memories of her parents at any time.."--- That's reader Joel memorializing an MNPP Forever Fave with the death of Patricia Hitchcock, daughter to Alfred & Alma and an always welcome screen-presence that we totally adored. How many of these can you get out of Suspiria?
It was a toss-up between this one and "Stabbed in the exposed, still-beating heart" and "Impaled By Falling Stained Glass"... I'll probably do those someday...
Doesn't Saw also have a death like this one?
Hrm, not sure. To be honest, I've blocked most of that testing experience from my brain. All I remember is the foot-sawing, since that was the entire film's selling point. Are we talking the first one? Not that I remember much more from the subsequent wretched sequels either. Pit of hypodermic needles, check; box loaded with shotgun, check; key at the bottom of glass of acid, check. Otherwise, big honking MEH.
