Good F@%$ing Grief

Fuck.

BD is reporting that Michael Haneke's Funny Games remake has been moved back to February. Supposedly to get out of the way of the sure-to-be-brilliant (right about there the sarcasm should be melting your computer screen) Saw IV. Because apparently these movies will have similar audiences. ...'k?

It had been scheduled for February for awhile, and then just ten days ago it suddenly was scheduled for October 26th, much to my glee. Not to be though. Because the Saw franchise had to go and ruin more things I love, like looking forward to this movie, like the horror genre, like the very fabric of celluloid itself. UGH.

Funny Games will now, SUPPOSEDLY, come out on February 15th. That is if the Saw hacks can't churn out Saw V in the space of three months, which I wouldn't put past them. A-holes!

That fucking sucks because I really wanted to see this remake sooner.

Anyways.....I have my Top 10 of 2006 up now.

The producers must think it has no Oscar chances. If it's any good (and how could it not be) I thought Haneke might finally get the attention he deserves by the Academy. Looks like it's not to be. But Saw IV was the catalyst...OY!
