Deaths Fest

.

I didn't go and see any of the films shown for that After Dark Horror Fest thing last year because... well because I'm a loser, basically. But I was thinking about rectifying my loser-status at least a slight percentage by hitting it up this year, and now I think I will for certain. BD has news on two of the film showing, and one caught my eye - it's called The Deaths of Ian Stone, and it's described at IMDb thusly:

"Deaths tells the story of an all-American guy who is murdered each day by horrifying pursuers, only to wake up in slightly different lives to experience the terror of being murdered again."

So it's sorta like Groundhog Day... with dismemberment. Well, I'm speculating dismemberment, but come on, who doesn't love a good dose of dismemberment? Anyway, he dies, over and over and over again.

Deaths really caught my perv-tastic eye, though, because it stars Mike Vogel, whom I once ogled (Vogel! Rhymes!) with a gratuitous post all his own. Vogel was previously a hot piece of slaughtered beef in the Texas Chainsaw remake, will be seen in January in JJ Abrams' "Cloverfield" movie, and... he cute.

Add on that I like the concept for the film and it seems to be enough to have me contemplating righting my last year's wrong. Here are a couple shots from Deaths which seem to live up to the premise (i.e. yup, he dead and/or dying):
