I Am Friday's Link

It's a lovely day outdoors here in NYC, my office is having a half day so I'm done in 2.5 hours, my boss is outta town... happy thoughts, happy thoughts today. But that means less of me, because once the clock strikes 2pm I turn into a board-short-wearing pumpkin that will be computer-less (damn you, robbers!) until Monday. But here are some links to other places to tide you through!

--- A Mighty Haze - Oooh, the first real pic from Frank Darabont's The Mist is over at BD (and above). Based on the fabulously frightening Stephen King short story, and starring hunka-meat Thomas Jane, I've already done my fair share of crowing on this flick, so I'll just say: lovely. There's also an interview with Mr. King at USA Today, about both The Mist and...

--- ... another movie of his - a movie, other than Black Sheep, that I might be willing to see this weekend if I can get over my John-Cusack-a-phobia - the adaptation of Stephen King's 1408 is getting decent reviews, and Steven at The Horror Blog did a lil' round-up of news on the movie. I too like the quote from Samuel L. Jackson that he shares.

--- The cream in my coffee - John Krasinski is totally adorable. That's all.

--- Also adorable? Charlie Hunnam, who is ModFab's Friday Hot Guy today. An excellent choice, I say; one I have exploited on my own in the past.

--- Alterna-Peaks - My pal Sean does the internet-slide and finds a bunch of alternate covers for that Twin Peaks ultra DVD collection coming out this Fall. They're all better options then the actual one we've seen.

--- Return of the Bride - Cinematical shares news on an approaching Kill Bill boxed set, which will be a longer version of the film and rated NC-17. Sweet. Of course I already own the seperate, earlier discs that were released, but they've got me on this one, I'll totally be buying it. Bastards.

--- A Terrific Failure - I wish I had the time to do something for The Ambitious Failure Blog-a-thon happening today over at This Savage Art, but the listed topics already posted on certainly look fantastic already so go check it out yourselves!

I waited to buy Kill Bill...just b/c I knew they'd pull this.

And even though License to Wed looks god awful, the apparent fact that there are scenes of Krasinski running around in his underwear in it make want to see it.

Your Charlie Hunnam gallery is awesome! Way better than ModFab's.

Why'd you have to tell me that, rj? Now I'd almost see it to. Or I would've before this glorious internet phenomenon; now I can just wait a few days and the pics will be online. And I shall post them too.
