I Am Thursday's Very Brief Link

.
--- I have the power... to suggest a direction they might want to go in casting the now-confirmed, will really be made, they're actually gonna spend money on this, He-Man movie, at least in regards to Orko, everyone's second or third favorite animated whiny Trollan from another dimension. Come on... something about Shia seems so right.

--- Doody the Second? Seems Cate Blanchett's character in Indy 4 will not be Harrison Ford's age-inappropriate love interest, but rather a (cue thunder clap) Villainous Russian (via Cinematical). Where have I seen that one before? Ahh yes, the last Indiana Jones movie. With the... Villainous Blonde Russian German Woman. Course, Cate's probably gonna be a lil' better than Alison "Eet's ours, Eeendy!" Doody was.

In related news, Miss Doody really should've considered a name change.

--- The Island's Everlasting Conundrums - if you want to soak in Lost-iness today, as I have been following the freak-out that was last night's episode, check out the recap at EW.com, where nutjob Jeff Jensen takes a crack at it. And then there's an interview with the showrunners, preceded by one with Dominic Monaghan too, if that interests ya... and judging by yesterday's comments, it do.

YES! I had hoped Blanchett would be a villain!

Yeah, I think she'll be wonderful probably. I hope she really gets to be a juicy villainess.

Maybe Shia Lebouf is his love interest....that's the body type he prefers if his relationship with Calista Flockhart is any indication.

Shia's playing his son!

And now I've got some sort of incest porn version of the movie playing in my head. Indiana Jones and the BOINKING YOUR OWN SON of Doom.

...with Cate Blanchett as the evil social worker for child protective services

Evil RUSSIAN social worker for child protective services, of course.

Is there any other kind?

I think there is actually a sizeable Evil Hungarian Social Worker constituency out there that refuses to be ignored.

She's Australian and she's played American, British, German, hell, she's even spoken Quenya! And now's she Russian. And her next project is in Mandarin, isn't it?

Girl can do anything...I just saw her in Tom Tykwer's 'Heaven' and she's brilliant once again
