It's been far too long since I've watched the amazing run of episodes in Angel's second season when Dru and Darla come to town and wreak horrible havoc in the most delightful ways, but because those memories still put a smile on my face, and because Julie Benz took the paper-thin villain of Darla from Buffy and turned her into a heart-rending three-dimensional character on Angel, I still harbor much love for Miss Benz, and wish her a very happy birthday today.
I wasn't sure what she'd been up to since Angel, but looking through her IMDb page it appears she's been a steadily working actress on shows like CSI and Dexter, so good on her.
