So the results are in, on that David Fincher poll from yesterday. Let's take a look:

Aww, no love for the red-headed stepchildren, The Game and Alien 3. Not that that's suprising; I wouldn't have chosen either of them as his best film (though I do think they've both got really good pieces to them). Fight Club took top honors in a walk; it started in the lead and stayed that way. And Se7en came in second, just over Panic Room.
There was more love for Panic Room than I anticipated - I enjoy Panic Room but it feels like the emptiest of his films to me - the film where the style more often than not trumped the substance (of course there are people who'd argue that about all his films), and I think he made Zodiac in response to that criticism. Anybody who voted for it wanna say why? I ain't knocking your choice - I do like the film - just curious.
Anyway, his birthday's over, let's send him our love and our invisible fingertips prodding at his backside (no, not in that way) to get him working more often.
