How much unholy ass if Helena Bonham Carter gonna kick as Bellatrix Lestrange in the new Harry Potter movie? Judging by all these new stills we've gotten in the past few days... a whole heckuva lot. I mean, I've always thought she was pitch-perfect casting, but I'll be gosh-darned if these pictures don't still knock my socks off.
There are more pics over at Cinematical, and I've just got to add the below shot of Ralph Feinnes as Voldemort, whom we've already seen kicking unholy amounts of ass in the last film.
Thing is, these shots are genuinely creepy and unsettling, and I couldn't be more pleased that the people behind this series are having the guts to go there, where Rowling most certainly tread, and not lighten it up any.

I recently discovered your blog and really love it so far. I actually saw a sneak preview of HP in March. Helena Bonham Carter was both great and WAY underused. I hope they add more HBC footage in the final version.
Awesome! Welcome! I'm super jealous you've already seen HP. I think it's become, with the advent of these new pics, the movie I'm most looking forward to this Summer. I'm not really suprised that HBC is underused in the film; the character's underused in the book, and seeing as how they were trying to get 8000 pages or whatever it was down into a passable movie time, I doubt they'd add more of her character - even though they should! ;-)
