Via FilmIck comes word that actress Carice van Houten is rumored to be the front-runner for the next Bond girl.Carice who, you ask? Carice is the star of Paul Verhoeven's current release Black Book, which I saw this past weekend and was absolutely terrific. I do believe the boyfriend coined the best possible description for the film I've heard, calling it "Anne Frank done by the Red Shoe Diaries people."
Like Starship Troopers, Black Book is a Verhoeven specialty - really smart, fun trash. And Carice is terrific in it, and I could see her making a swell Bond girl.
Mind you, I'm still clinging to the hope that there's some truth to Craig's claim of wanting a Bond Boy for this installment...
