I Am Link

--- What do these two lovable schmoes at left have in common? Besides a fondness for finding their characters off the Island of Misfit Toys? Check out my answer at this week's Horror Roundtable to find out!

--- My pal Sean finally made himself watch Eli Roth's Hostel - a feat which I am horribly proud of him for accomplishing, since he'd long had reservations about Mr. Roth's new place in the horror canon - and he loved the film... actually, he seems to have loved it more than I did. But he makes a grand argument for revisiting the film, which I'll be doing this week.

--- I have a sinking feeling that we're gonna be seeing many, many "Could it be...?!?!?" photos of what Heath Ledger's gonna look like in Joker make-up right up until it's officially unveiled by Nolan & Co., but here's the latest from AICN.

--- Me & Phil agree - Nicole Kidman was always the perfect choice for Mrs. Coulter. Phil being my good buddy Phillip Pullman, author of the His Dark Materials trilogy of course. We tight.

--- For no other reason then Hugh Jackman looks really good with his back turned in these pants do I provide this link to JJ, where Hugh Jackman looks really good with his back turned in these pants. Sigh.

Remind me again why he hasn't shown the goods off yet? Is he waiting for a Halle Berry in Swordfish-type paycheck bonus? I'll start the fund-drive right now if so.

--- Hmmm... if they keep it as horrifically violent as the original, then I could see an update of Death Race 2000 being fun. Cuz if they wuss out - and this is director Paul W. S. Anderson, the king of wussing out - then what's the point? We can just watch Drive on FOX (speaking of - y'all need to be watching Drive on FOX). Casting Jason Statham in the lead is a good start, though.
