Mucho gracias to Glenn, who left me a Valentine's Day gift in the comments for this post: a picture I hadn't yet seen from Greg McLean's upcoming croco-mania movie Rogue. Here she goes:

That's star Radha Mitchell, of Melinda & Melinda and Silent Hill fame. Or non-fame, really... I kinda like her though, so I'll leave the snide commentary aside. This is a movie by the man who made the sunshine-and-rainbow-filled Wolf Creek, after all, so happy thoughts! This movie's gonna (hopefully!) kick my ass. I have faith. April 20th, y'all!

When I first saw this shot, it looked like something out of The Descent. I love Radha too, and I'll see her in anything (yes, I am even tempted to give Silent Hill a rent.)
Silent Hill... it's a weird one. I actually found it to be way more interesting then it should've/could've been, but I do think it ultimately fails at what it's trying to do. But it's an interesting failure, and not just some mindless churned-out horror crap. Like, it really does a nice job of creating a real atmosphere and sense of menace. My main problem was it was all too pretty. Like I found myself oohing and ahhing over how pretty the director Gans made the horrors, but it never really connected with scaring me, in the end. But Radha was just fine in it and aquitted herself well in what was undoubtably a nothing-but-green-screen shoot.
Don't see Visitors if it ever gets a direct-to-dvd release in America. It stars Radha Mitchell stranded in the ocean with giant spider hallucinations and her mother's evil spirit. Or something.
It's really lame.
And it has Tottie Goldsmith, which means nothing to you, but speaks volumes to it's quality if you know her.
I wish my name were "Tottie".
That is all.
