--- Behold! A wise discussion about this year's Oscar nominees is going on at The Film Experience's annual Oscar Symposium, which began yesterday. Even if you're like me and don't especially give much of a hoot about this year's awards, you'll find yourself in good company cuz neither do most of the people speaking at the Symposium, it seems. Or, at least, they're a curiously conflicted bunch.

--- Another Friday, another delightfully informative Horror Roundtable. This week we speak up on the horror classics of European origin.

--- Boobies 1, Bush 0. Sean T. Collins eloquently defends some points about Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut with regards to Eve Tushnet's review of the film. All of which makes me really want to revisit the film, which I loved deeply upon my first few viewings.

--- First Janis Joplin, and now Dorothy... Zooey Deschanel will be playing Witch-Murderess Dorothy Gale in the SciFi channel's Tin Man miniseries, opposite Alan Cumming as the Scarecrow.
