This quote from a NYT article on her role in Little Children:

She’s feeling a little bit sexy, she’s trying to make a bit of an effort, and she paints her toenails blue — not pink or silver or even gold. It’s so ’80s, it’s so teenage. It’s so completely without grace.'"
I been feeling like watching Little Children again... maybe I'll be less harsh on it with my expectations lowered now... Kate really was terrific in it. Too bad that Mirren-steamroller isn't showing any signs of slowing. One of these days will be your day, Kate!
