Little Children

//
Thanks be to the gods (i.e. Nathaniel), I've finally gotten a glimpse of Little Children. And man, what a great trailer. You can watch it here. I caught some screengrabs below:

Oh wait, there's stuff in this trailer besides shirtless Patrick Wilson? Oh. Right. Kate!

She's got the right idea.

Seriously beefcake-brainwashing aside, it is an awesome trailer and this is one o' the ones I've been most looking forward to for the Fall.

I've got a question, though: I keep hearing how amazing the book is, but I can't decide if I should wait and see the film first, or if I should just dive in and read the book now. Pros, cons? Anyone? Bueller?

I highly suggest reading the book. It's WONDERFUL. But I heard somewhere that the film was only loosely based on the novel, which would suck.

I'm pretty positive that they're gonna change the ending for the movie, because it's kind of a non-event in the book. Don't get me wrong, I liked Little Children's finale - I just don't think the producers will.

Yeah, I figured I'd just have to decide myself. How exhausting. ;-)

I think I'm going to wait for the movie. I am afraid of ruining any surprises it may have in store. Then I'll read the book.

Or I may decide the opposite thing tomorrow. Sigh.

And hello, David! Pleased to make your online-aquaintence.

Wow, that WAS a pretty good trailer. It always seems a little weird to me that Jennifer Connolly has an Oscar and Kate Winslet doesn't, though.
