I Am Link

//

--- Cinematical contemplates a contemplation by professional starving actress Kate Bosworth about the chances of a Lois Lane spin-off. Weren't most of the complaints about Superman Returns about the gooey lady-center? I know there are actual Lois Lane comic books out there, and not to knock the lady reporter (fictional version; I'll knock Bones-worth any ol' time), but... is anyone dying to watch a movie about Lois? Picture it: Metropolis, 2007. Lois was a working gal, with an occassional oversized-codpiece flying her to the office...

--- Consider it wishful thinking : EW's blog reports on a film called D.O.A.P. (Death of a President), which is playing the Toronto Film Festival, and --fictionally! - looks back from the near -(fictional!)- future after our current - non-fictional - "Executive Officer" gets - fictionally! - gunned down. No comment; I like not living in Cuba.

--- I can read the headlines now : James Bond Gives Truman Capote A Tongue Bath! Have I mentioned how much I like Daniel Craig lately, by the way? I wonder if he'll manage to strip down (NSFW) and go all gay for The Golden Compass? One can dream.

--- This is a lil' bit late, but this week's Horror Roundtable at The Horror Blog asked, "Name an obscure gem which you can recommend without reservation", and they did, and it was wonderful. If you're looking for something you haven't heard of before to scare ya, these are the people to listen to.

--- I, for one, have been anxiously awaiting the return of Zach Galligan. I can't be alone here, right? Mmmm Billy.

--- Harry Knowles gets typically slobbering-hard for another horror movie that will inevitably disappoint, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. I mean, I hope it's great, no one wants great horror films more than I, but I trust Knowles opinion about as far as I could roll him without my heart exploding from the effort.
