Vlad Redux

///

So it seems Universal's digging their mitts into the Dracula mythos, wanting to make a historical-type epic about Vlad the Impaler... mixed with the vampire stuff, of course.

From DH:

"Universal Pictures has sunk its teeth into "Dracula Year Zero," a spec script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless reports the trades. The story chronicles the epic origin of Dracula, weaving vampire mythology with the true history of Prince Vlad the Impaler. It depicts Dracula as a flawed hero in a tragic love story set in a dark age of magic and war, repositioning him more as a vengeful hero than the monster seen in Bram Stoker's classic 1897 novel."

Could be cool; I loved the parts of Coppola's Dracula that were flashbacks to Vlad's day. But then, I really, sincerely loved almost everything about Coppola's movie. Even Keanu! Top that.
