Silent, Night

...
Wow, the reviews are pretty abysmal for M. Night's new flick Lady in the Water.

I'm kinda surprised that I have yet to spout my ever-inessential opinion on the pre-release chatter about the flick, since I am an M. Night apologist most of the time.

At least, I'll defend him when it comes to the movies he makes; I'm as irritated as anybody with the tripe the man himself is always bellowing about how gosh-darn hard it is for him to remain true to his "art." Please, for the love of all humanity, Night, shut up. Get out of my AmEx commercials, get out of your own movies, and SHUT UP.

Anyway, I love-to-like all of the man's films, and think he's a fantastic filmmaker, so I will inevitably be heading to the multiplex in the next few days for LiW. Will it suck? It seems entirely possible. Yet I'm willing to give the man another chance, even though I am as tired as anyone of listening to the man speak. I am terrified of the news that he has an even larger role in the film than he did in Signs.

But Night, listen to me: I am on your side. I think you've got a great talent. And you're making me not want to watch your movies with your yapping! So give it a rest! Please!
