Midlake, With A Surprise

///
So I saw Midlake play on Friday night and they were really very terrific. Their set was painfully short - about 45 minutes - because they were the second of four bands on the bill that evening (WTF Mercury Lounge? These guys deserve a whole night!), and they only sang about 6 or 7 songs, but they sounded fantastic and I really enjoyed them.

However... there was a bit of a distraction.

Because standing right beside me for most of the show? One Mr. Sufjan Stevens.

Sigh.

I think I've made clear my ... like... of Sufjan before.

He's soooo adorable, I just wanted to stuff him in my pocket and run away! Because, besides being adorable, he's also tiny, see. Pocket-sized. My own little pocket-sized banjo-strumming musical genius to love, and squeeze, and "what-not" to, forever. Aww!

He was also drinking a beer! Sufjan?!?!? What would Jesus think?!?!?

What do you mean by tiny? I've heard he's 5'10" - 6" That's not so tiny.

I do have a skewed perception, or so I've been told, being 6'3" myself, but there's no way he's six foot; at most maybe, with big shoes on, he could be 5'10", but I'd hazard to guess he's gotta be shorter than that, maybe 5'8" or so.... and that's me being generous, since I've never had the opportunity to measure him myself... which I'd gladly do! Call me, Sufjan!

I read on a website someone e-mailed his label, and they said he was 5'10"

Do you know if he has a girlfriend?

I do not know. He seemed to be alone at this concert.

Who took that picture of him? The one with the Michigan hat where he looks a bit angry.

Don't remember where I found that pic; just googled his name. He looks adorable as always though.

He does look adorable in that photo? Did you talk to him at all? He's so good looking.

No, I'm an idiot, and my shyness got the best of me. Even though he was INCHES from me. Sigh. It's the 2nd time I've seen him in the past year and a half or so, though, so I have high hopes our paths shall cross once more, and maybe the 3rd time shall be the charm.

When was the first time you say him? Did he seem like he was having a good time? I'd probably be too shy to say anything too.
