Supes Reviewed!

000h

If you're so inclined, the first reviews for Superman Returns have apparently made their way online.

Dark Horizons has some links to them here.

I personally am staying away, I want the Man-of-Steel all to myself. But a brief skim through does look positive...

In other Supes-news, director Bryan Singer and company doth protest too much about Clark Kent's sex-life:

"Superman "is probably the most heterosexual character in any movie I've ever made," said Singer… Some of the speculation over the sexuality of Singer's hero has focused on his appearance in promotional posters.

But Singer said his version of the superhero was a "very romantic icon" - handsome, virtuous and vulnerable.

Paul Levitz, president and publisher of Superman owner DC Comics said: "We were all scratching our heads. He's not a gay character."

Why can't they just shut up? I don't think anyone thinks Clark Kent's sneaking off into the bathroom of the Daily Planet with Jimmy Olsen. But the dude's pretty gay-friendly, and where's the problem with that? Just let it be, people. Let the big girly-man in his form-fitting tights swishing through the skies be who he wants to be!
