Why the hell are people surprised that The DaVinci Code is, apparently, terrible?
Ron Howard is a HACK. H-A-C-K. I don't even bother seeing anything he directs any more because it's all so maudlin I want to carve out my eyeballs with a fistful of barbed wire. His presence in the director's chair kept me from seeing a Cate Blanchett movie, and if you know me you know that takes some effort.
And, for the second time today, though this time with far less enthusaism, I accidentily stumble upon news of a remake, only this time THE HORROR - Ron Howard's next project is remaking East of Eden??? WTF???

I KNOW! I discovered this at the start of the year and I flipped. Alongside the remake of Hitchcock's The 39 Steps I discovered in 10 minutes that two of my all-time fave movies are being remade.
it made me scared.
