I flew through this book in a couple of days - just finished it last night - and I implore all of you to go out and read it. Such a sad and beautiful story, told with some of the finest, most precise writing I've ever read.
I haven't read any of Ishiguru's other works (like Remains of the Day), but was just blown away by how lovely he wrote this story of horror, where science has outpaced ethics and no one knows what's the right thing to do anymore. Even though I knew going in what the story was about, Ishiguru's style made me totally forget - he just surrounded me with his otherworldly detail and slowly, the implications began to seep in, and by the end... it was devastating. An amazing work.

I'm so glad to meet someone who has read this book. It's one of the best books I've read, had tears in my eyes when it finally put it down.
