Movie Bits

.....
Lotsa cool little movie news coming out today that has nothing, for a change, to do with Brokeback Mountain. It's so refreshing!

---- Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel, sexy horror-loving director of my dreams) is going to direct the movie version of Stephen King's latest opus, Cell. I've heard good stuff about Cell and it's on my list of books-to-read. A return to Apocalyptic Horror for the Maestro of Gore, yay! Zombies, bigger yay!

---- Speaking of Mr. Roth, he mentions in the above article that he'll do Cell after he finishes Hostel II. Did I already know he was directing a sequel? I think I did. Still, it merits mention.

---- Official word, finally, that Alexandre Aja (Haute Tension, The Hills Have Eyes remake that comes out this Friday) will be directing the adaptation of the graphic novel, praised by good friends, of Black Hole. I mentioned this last week or so, but it hadn't been confirmed yet. Also, that Neil Gaiman's writing the script - bonus coolosity.

---- Milla Jovovich is playing Alice again in the third Resident Evil film. Plus, Oded Fehr....

With a spoon. I unjustifiably adore the first film, and justifiably hate the second. We'll see.
