Oh... what could have been... this is from the Daily News:
"VF cover's inside story:
Could the Tom Ford-directed Vanity Fair be any hotter? Apparently, it could have been.
Sources say the cover shot of Ford with the very naked Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley is not the lineup the maestro first envisioned.
"The idea was to have Tom between a guy and a girl, and he wanted Jake Gyllenhaal," says a snitch. Sadly for the actor's many fans, Ford's plan didn't come to fruition.
The official word from Gyllenhaal's rep: "He was never asked to be on the cover or pose nude. He was asked to be featured inside, which he did."
Actress Rachel McAdams is known to have backed out of the nude shoot."
Tom Ford would have been forgiven all his ego-tripping skeeziness if he'd made this happen. Cuz as gross as Ford is, he's still pretty hot despite all my best efforts to not find him so, and a naked Jake nestled on his shoulder... might've just been the hottest thing ever.

Alas. At least I can still dislike Ford since he didn't make it happen. That's... something. Sigh.
