A new (to me) musical discovery: Kid Dakota.
Okay so I've only listened to one song so far. But it's highly recommended! It's called "10,000 Lakes". Download it right here, bitches. I downloaded some more this morning at their website.
Gothamist, whom I have to thank for turning me on to them, says Kid Dakota are for fans of Radiohead and John Vanderslice - which seems apt, since I'm big fans of both.
They're playing the Mercury Lounge here in NYC tonight; I very well may have to go.
