I mean, don't you remember how, when the ash fell on the bruthas and racist cops in that L.A. neighborhood in Volcano, they were all now the same color and could set aside their racial differences to work for the common good (i.e. getting the hell out of the way of the lava)? Not to mention Volcano had Anne Heche in her lesbian-phase helping to save the day.

That was real nuance there, or at least compared to the hammering about the face Crash gives its audience. And not one psuedo-lesbian (again, Sandra Bullock doesn't count) saving the day in Crash either.
