Here's an interesting article in the LA Times about the theory floating around TV-town that it was the WB's loss of Buffy the Vampire Slayer to UPN that led to a destablization of both networks and their eventual collapse into one horribly-monikered new network The CW last week.
Being a hardcore Buffy geek myself, I love the theory. Buffy took those bitches down!
But the thought did strike me last week that now, with these two networks up in the air, we're left wondering what the fate of the possibility of Buffy-related spin-offs or TV movies that've been talked about lately. Will it make it easier to greenlight them, with the rival networks joined together? Or will it get lost in the shuffle?
I really hope the former is the case- I need a Buffyverse fix soon! Get to work, Whedon!
