... Trini Alvarado? She needs a comeback. Not that she ever had enough of a career to really come back to, but she was great. She played Bette Midler's daughter in Stella ("Jenny-girl!"), Meg in the 1994 Little Women, and Michael J. Fox's love interest in The Frighteners.
The Frighteners was a wonderful mess. I want the newly released director's cut, to see if it's any better than the original. I liked it a lot, but it was a little bit all over the place.
I've been told that Times Square, a movie Trini did in 1980, is really worth seeing. Supposedly captures the New Wave moment of 1980's NYC perfectly, with an incredible soundtrack. Gotta check that out.
Trini is in Little Children, the new film by Todd Field (director of the Sissy Spacek-Marisa Tomei slap-a-thon In The Bedroom) with Kate Winslet. Dunno how big her part will be. But she deserves work! Give that gal some jobs!
