You can scan through some satellite photographs of the devastation here. Just click on one square to find tons of other squares leading you to hi-res photos of the area. Stunning and horrifying stuff. I caught them flashing back and forth on MSNBC between these images of devastation and what stood in those spots before the hurricane and the contrast is mind-boggling.
Just think, this is pretty much what our dear Commander-in-Chief saw in his noteworthy campaign of Caring From The Skies, which is how he showed his heroism on 9/11 as well. Just take a detour in Air Force One over the destruction of an entire American city under your watch, Mr. President, that'll show them you care! What a compassionate man!
Oh, he does eventually show up, you know, after thousands have starved to death, to do a photo op at the airport. It's a shame there wasn't one recognizable landmark turned to rubble he could pose on with a bullhorn this time out.
Speaking of the number of the dead, I have to wonder how much fudging will happen once we do start to get a count of the dead, and what the causes of death will be. Will we hear about how many people died from dehydration and starvation due to a lack of assistance in the many days following the actual storm, or will they just be lumped togther with the dead from the hurricane itself? Because a distinction must be made between those we could not have saved and those MURDERED by our government's inaction.

He is a terrible leader (prob be called a bleeder over here in the UK!) His statements are cringeworthy, he is totally clueless.
I feel sorry for you all over there, the frustration of how he shows no sympathy for you at all.
He needs to be chucked out of office along with all the other clueless ones. I know that we have his lapdog Tony Blair over here in the UK but at least he can lead the people (a bit!)
Hey, guess what? Here in the US, we can VOTE, which means that we can get someone out of office at election time.
Meanwhile, why don't you get off your government sucking ass and go help these morons who wouldn't leave their government slum houses when they were told to, and who now sit on their fat lazy asses with their hands extended demanding their "entitlements", which, by the way, you and I pay for.
