Let Them Drink Fuel

Is anyone really surprised that Vice President Cheney's office was on the phone August 31st, immediately following Katrina's destruction, with the power stations demanding the gas pipelines get fixed immediately as it was a "national priority"... yet nowhere to be seen or heard from for days while American citizens drown and lay dying in the streets? I mean, who doesn't understand this Administration's priorities by now? And nevermind that the resources working on getting the pipelines up and running would've been working on getting power to HOSPITALS instead, if not so ordered by Cheney. Lovely.

Also, is anyone surprised that President Bush called the Republican Governor of Mississippi three times in the hours following Katrina personally, yet the Democratic Governor of Louisana (Speaking of whom, Gov. Blanco's been proven to have done everything within her power to deal with the situation after the storm, laying waste to Rove's spin that it's all her fault) had to beg to be put through to the President two days after the storm?

Ah, the priorities of criminals.
