Park Speaks, I Listen

The image “http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/news/images/p/Park_Chanwook/sq_park_chanwook_hat.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Here and here are a couple of interviews with Park Chan-Wook, the Korean director of Old Boy and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and the soon to be released (some time this Fall, anyway) third film of his Vengeance Triad, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, which should be added to the list of movies I'm real damned excited to see in the next few months. It's breaking records in Korea right now, where it was released in July... wonder when I can find a copy on eBay... hmm...

Old Boy and Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance are both awesome films (and while I like both, I seem to be relatively alone in preferring the latter to the former), and you should seek them out if you haven't seen them. Yes, they have some moments of extreme violence; suck it up, you're a big kid now, you can deal.
