I can't help myself, when it comes to wishing Jean-Luc Godard a happy birthday I always run back to Pierrot le Fou... just so I can stare at Jean-Paul Belmondo. I am nothing if not the most predictable of gays. But come on...

Have any of you seen Godard's latest film The Image Book? I have a screener of it angrily glaring at me every night when I get home but I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet. I really didn't enjoy Goodbye to Language in 2014 and I fear this is more of that. I mean I love that Godard's out here still challenging the medium in theory... but in practice it can get a little tedious. I always wish the best birthday wishes!
