If you head on over to The Film Experience today you can read my thoughts on The Sisters Brothers, which is now playing in a couple of theaters here in the US of A - they're going the slow roll-out route, which is good for us people in NYC and such, notsomuch for the rest of you people sitting on your Gyllenhaal-loving thumbs. You'll have to make due with my sweet sweet words of affection for the movie, and these new character posters...

... and also there's a brand new trailer for the film, which I'll share below. But first can I just say that in a truly unexpected development, straight outta nowhere, that Joaquin Phoenix looks better in this movie than I think he's ever looked in any movie he's ever done? Director Jacques Audiard was clearly smitten with his face and shot him accordingly. As someone who's never not once looked at Joaquin that way, this film is at times very disconcerting.
