Shape Made Music

While I wouldn't pass up the experience for nothing seeing John Carpenter in concert last summer was kind of a goofy experience - it's mostly just him pushing buttons sporadically on a synth and swaying his shoulders back and forth. Watch this video of him performing the music from Halloween that I took to see what I mean. But I would totally go again! And I am going to get the chance because he's putting out a new album of music - it's called Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 and unlike his previous two records (which were made up of music he had written that had never made its way into his movies) these are new takes on his actual soundtracks of yore. Including that iconic Halloween score! Yes please! He's shared a track off of the album already - here's his new spin on his In the Mouth of Madness music:
