13 Phones of Halloween #13

.
The scene of Tippi Hedren taking refuge in a phone-booth in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds was the first scene I thought of when coming up with phone-related nightmares for this series, so I figure it's as finely feathered a place as any to finish us up.

Nobody can quite make you feel the walls closing in on you even in an open space like Hitch can. Boxes in boxes in boxes...

... frames in frames in frames,
and all we can do is watch.

I hope you guys have enjoyed the series this year! I had a list with a dozen more on it, but 13's the magic number. What horror movie telephone scenes that I didn't get around to are your faves?

And have a wonderful Halloween, everybody!

Charlie Hunnam's Going To Prison

.
You know, like Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Hopefully very much like Jean-Claude Van Damme! Although I shouldn't get my hopes up, the movie sounds more serious than Van Damme's classic 80s odes to bullets bouncing off his buns-of-steel were - it's an adaptation of Billy Moore's book A Prayer Before Dawn about his real-world experiences in "a barbaric Thai prison" where he picked up Muay Thai boxing in order to protect himself. So kind of Midnight Express...

... meets, well, a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie.
Sounds good to me! I'm there.

I ♥ Dandy

The way things are going there's a very good chance that the fourth season of American Horror Story, subtitled Freakshow for very good reason, will be my favorite. (Asylum is my favorite past season.) I love the deliberate pace, I love the stories they're telling, and oh my god do I love Finn Wittrock as Dandy.

Today I'd rather be...

... splitting wood with Chris Evans.

I don't know how long this clip will stay online, or if they'll release it in better quality like they did when the trailer leaked, but a clip from Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked overnight (thanks to Marvelite for the heads-up) and you can watch it over here. It involves blah blah Chris Evans in that ridiculously tight shirt swinging an axe blah. (If only the person filming had a steadier hand.) Hit the jump for a few more gifs!

And this scene from Hemlock Grove  (thanks Jason):

And this shot of Charlie Hunnam on Sons of Anarchy:

And this shot of Paul Bettany:

And that Being Human show, both editions:

Good luck with the clean up tomorrow,
and Happy Halloween!

your body starts to shiver.

For no mere mortal can resist...

... the evil of the thriller.

Today's Fanboy Delusion

Today I'd rather be...

... taking a pounding from Matt Lauria.

One way or another, whatever.

He can choose. I'm open...

... to suggestions. Hey look, it's Alicia Witt! I was literally just wondering two days ago where she had gone to, and here she is, with a naked Matt Lauria slapping his nakedness against her. I guess I needn't have worried.

So this most recent episode of Kingdom appears to have been all about exploiting Matt this time; if you hit the jump you can see a ton more. (With a bonus Jonathan Tucker shot at the end cuz why not.) Take it away, Matt...

EW has the next Terminator movie's cast (I refuse to write that other word in the movie's title! I refuse!) on their cover and for some reason on the inside pictures they made everybody make "Jessica Alba screaming into an oven" faces.

You do remember Jessica Alba screaming into an oven, right?

Yeah who could forget. Anyway...
