I know most people will automatically subscribe to the notion of the original being better, but I'm Team Rooney all the way. A happy 50th birthday to David Fincher. He admitted earlier this week that he's trying to figure out the sequel. As long as Daniel Craig's skimpy underthings make a reappearance I'm good.

To me, Noomi's Lisbeth has always just come across as some random goth chick with a bad attitude but Rooney's Salander is...a bizarre creature, an alien wearing human skin, mimicking human behavior as best it can. When she speaks and moves you can see the years of violence she's endured and the damaged angry child underneath that cold hard alabaster skin.
Needless to say, I feel she should have won an academy award (if the Oscars were accolades awarded for acting ability as opposed to the popularity contest in actually is)
