Pics of the Day

Pushing Daisies creator and all-around super-human Bryan Fuller tweeted the first page of the Daisies comic in pencil and colored form over the weekend, and here they be:

(click to embiggen) Lovely, right? Not so lovely is the news that the comics' publisher Wildstorm has closed up shop, so we won't be getting them just yet. Bryan promises updates though. We just gotta keep not shutting up about it until somebody snatches these up, people! Vigilance! We need our prolonged piemaker fix.

Pardon my ignorance, but are these comics going to continue the story, or are they depictions of the episodes that were already filmed?

They're all new stories set after the series, Rebecca! AKA awesomesauce.

That is great. I'm just watching 'Pushing Daisies' for the first time now, and I love it.

Why do they make us wait?! *sigh*

These look amazing! I was a bit worried that the comics would be in the same style as the promotional one given out at Comic Con once upon a time. The drawing here is excellent (love the sketchy quality) and the character designs are thoughtful and still reference the original actors.

Why can't we find a billionaire sugar-daddy for Bryan Fuller already?

Those look amazing.

But what's a PUSHING DAISIES memorial without Olive Snook. Sigh. I miss this show so much.
