Happy Birthday, Helen Slater

.

I just watched about half an hour of The Legend of Billie Jean over the weekend. It was one of my favorite flicks when I was a kid. It taught me what a period was (thanks, Yeardley Smith!). I fast-forwarded to the scene where Billie Jean reveals her make-over, it's always my favorite part. They're at that guy's house who has all the monster-movie memorabilia, hanging out at the pool, and everybody's jaws drop open as she walks out with her boyish 'do and 80's punk wardrobe. Love. Slater was a big part of my childhood because of this movie and Supergirl. Oh Supergirl. The world doesn't deserve your beautiful wickedness.

I have an irrational and undying love for this movie, and that amazing Pat Benatar song. Ah, the golden days of HBO!

I've never seen this, but I love Pat Benatar's song "Invincible" and I love that Benatar hates the movie.

A wonderful co-worker just turned me on to your blog and I'm OBSESSED with it (in a healthy way). I adore "The Legend of Billy Jean" and am forever in your debt for mentioning it here. YOU ROCK!
